We're Back with a Bang!

Greetings. We're back at last from the wilds of Botswana, having been chased by elephants, hyenas, lions and baboons - I kid thee not. Anyway, before we get to use our new material, I thought I'd tell you about an exciting new development for Thelema Trust. We've been invited to submit an illustrated essay on the four suits of the Tarot to Rending The Veil, an absolutely top-notch on-line occult journal edited and produced by Sheta Kaey (also of Immanion Press). The article should appear in June. In addition, the journal has accepted some of our Occult Art for display. So do please visit Rending the Veil - it's a cool journal. We also encourage you to visit the Journal of Thelemic Studies, to which we also contributed Thelemic Art for their latest journal. It's also a really excellent resource.

The second bit of news is that after much thought and hard work, our artist Hettie completed the artwork representing the Tarot Suit of Disks, of which we include a small snapshot here. The original artwork is available for purchase on our expanded range of Occult Art Occult Art.

There's much more to tell - we obtained some fascinating African Masks on our travels in Botswana and Zimbabwe, but that must wait for now. We'll be back to do some more site upgrading and Tarot work this coming weekend.

On Vacation

We are finally off to Botswana for our annual vacation. Under the night stars of Africa we will be celebrating the apex of the Thelemic Holy season under the stars. We will be back on 20th August and wish you all well.

Thelema Trust Art

Well, as some of our regular readers will know, our artist Hettie and I are off to Botswana in early April for a two week drive in the wilderness where we will be celebrating the revelation of Liber Al under the undimmed stars of unspoilt Africa.
It's a lot of work posting on our site and our blogs, but we really want to keep you guys engaged, so we're posting a few interesting works here without yet getting to our web site. These sketches will probably be used as the basic design for full scale oil paintings at some time in the future. Enjoy! And thanks so much for visiting us. Comments are always appreciated, as are entries in our under-utilised Guest Book

We call these drawing 'Wings for a Dying God', 'Stigmata', and 'Inamorata'. I guess it's easy to identify each of them. Just a note here: ALL of Hettie Rowley's work at the Thelema Trust is original hand-crafted art executed without any computer images or aids. We have nothing negative to say about digitally enhanced and produced art, but we feel that the distinction is extremely important - we create our art the old fashioned way. Strange to say, but in 1991, Hettie created the image of a tiger in pixel dots - by hand. To this day no-one who's seen the work believes it was done without a computer. I'll post it one day, but I swear I'll hunt down and kill the first person who says it's computer generated - don't try me.

Great News!

We have been invited by the proprietor of the Journal of Thelemic Studies to contribute Thelemic Art to the latest issue, Vol.  2 No.2.
This is a great honor for us, as the journal is one of the very finest resources for students and practitioners of Thelema available anywhere. It's free for pdf downlaod and may also be purchased in color or black&white from the site. I hope you will visit the journal and join its growing community.

On another note, we continue to add to our art range. On the left is a new work added to our Occult Art Gallery

In Praise of Horus and Pan

My mind has been much focused on the growth of our Thelemic message lately, possibly due to the long hours I've been putting into the Thelemic Tarot Analysis. Anyway, here's another quick scribble you might enjoy. Please leave comments, whether you like it or not.

In Praise of Horus and Pan

Horus has taken his throne in the East
The Dying god rises no more
Scarlet the Whore who bears now the Beast
To conquest and bloodshed and war

Peck at the eyes of Christ on the cross
Cut the face of Mohammed with steel
Trample and curse on the slaves of dead gods
Bring death to their eyes as they kneel

Thelemite! Bow neither to god nor to man
Divine is the light of your eyes
In the beds of lush women take pleasure as Pan
Gush your hot seed ‘tween their thighs

Thelemite! Bow never to god or to priest
Divine is the curve of your breasts
With holy sword girt walk proud with the Beast
Make easy the path of his quests

Accursed! Accursed! The Liars of God
Christ’s sheep in the shadows of death
Take pity not, spare not thy zeal with the rod
Take vengeance upon their last breath

The Prophet has shown us the light of the night
Of the light of the darkness of dawn
Through eternity’s skies Aiwass’ words now take flight
And make all the world new as reborn

Most Holy Whore, most Reverend Beast
Hear now thy children in praise
In turmoil of limbs joined at thy great feast
Our lances to thee do we raise

Most Holy Whore, most reverend Beast
Hear thy children in song as we call
Conjoined in delirious rites of the feast
Our cups we have opened to All

Thee we invoke now under thy stars
In joy of the night of The Law
Full bathed in the blood of the glare of red Mars
On the edge of great Binah’s shore

Echoes in the Womb of Time - A Thelemic Poem

As I state in the Original Posting of this poem, I make no claims to any grade throught the medium of this work, which I know to be somewhat presumptuous. I hope you enjoy it  and will leave your opinions as comments.

Thanks you,
Keith Rowley

Echoes in the Womb of Time

As a star was It cast into the night

Torn free from the lies of thought

Filled full with the glory of naught

Reborn in the womb of Nuit

See now!

Eternity is but a moment

Hear now!

Every moment an eternity

Now!

Is the long home of my soul

Eternity!

Receives me into the heart of God

But  it is I that receives God!

There!

Where every Star burns to Ash

Within!

Where rest the Masters of the Temple

In Silence!

Sit still in the house of my mother

Eternal Zero!

Saturn’s bride in the sea of time

In holy rapture calls our Lady, Babalon

Receiving all, most blessed, most holy whore

Our saintly blood seeps long into her cup

As loud roars the Beast in triumphal ecstasy

The Aeon of Horus or the Age of Aquarius?

Are the 'Age of Aquarius' and Aleister Crowley's 'Aeon of Horus' synonymous? What is the metaphysical basis for these alleged aeons? Here we present a brief metaphysical and historical analysis that strongly indicates the death of the collective mindset, and that Aquarius brings not healing but division and strife as the individual increasingly rejects the mother of lies - collectivism.
Read our new essay at our Thelema Web Site. And don't forget to get back here and comment - we need and welcome your feedback. There's a link at the bottom of the article.
